Academic Challenge   
This group of students compete in Academic Challenge meets against other schools. Students knowledge is tested in many academic subjects. The team practices during lunch.

Class Officers   
Class officers are elected by the students of each class. The class officers consist of president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer.

Eucharistic Ministers   
All seniors have the choice to become a Eucharistic Minister, someone who distributes Eucharist at weekly and weekend masses.

German Club
This club meets Thursdays in room 109 during lunch to look further into German language and history along with celebrating German holidays, cuisine, cinema and culture.

Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation    
HOBY’s mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation. Each year one Sophmore is picked to attend the HOBY conference.  To be picked you must write an essay about an assigned topic.

Key Club    
Key Club is a group of students who participate in various service activities throughout the year.  Some activities include fundraising, such as selling shamrocks for Muscular Dystrophy, and pumpkin carving.

Mass Coordinators
Mass Coordinators are juniors that assist the Presider by preparing for weekly NCS school masses.

Mock Trial
May it please the Court. Mock Trial provides high school students with an opportunity to experience the everday proceedings of the United States judicial system by critically thinking, reading, writing, and discussing about the original court case offered annually by the Ohio Center for Law Related Education (OCLRE).

National Honor Society    
To be a National Honor Society member, one must excel in leadership, academics, character, and community service.  They must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA to be considered, fill out an application listing leadership roles and community service, and be a junior or senior.  The faculty chooses members based on these applications. Once a member, they are to help with various service activities throughout the community and continue to be good leaders.

Prom Committee
Prom Committee is a group of junior students that meet at lunch and help plan prom.

Retreat Team Leaders   
Each year, every class goes on retreat. Retreat Team Leaders help plan them. When the retreat takes place, the leaders lead a small group and/or give a speech. For the freshmen retreat, seniors are leaders. For the sophomore retreat, juniors and seniors can be leaders. For Kairos (the senior retreat), seniors are leaders. They apply during their junior year and are picked by the adult team members.

Rocket Team
Want to be a rocket scientist?  Well, you can at SPH with the Team America Rocketry Challenge!  It's a fun national competition where students in grades 7-12 will use computers, science & math to compete against 700 other teams from across the USA.  Students will work in small groups to design, build, and fly their own rocket to meet a very exact challenge issued by the Aerospace Industries of America.  The top 100 teams go to Washington DC every spring to fly for a national championship. What better way to be a Flyer than flying rockets!
Science Club/ Science Fair    
The Science Club is a group of upperclassmen that would like to compete at State Science Fair. Participation in our school science fair is required for all students in 7th, 8th, 9th grades and is optional for upperclassmen.

Student Ambassadors    
The Student Ambassador program is invaluable to our school.  Our student ambassadors assist with community service projects, special events hosted by our school, prospective students and shadow days, and most importantly, are representatives of our school.  Students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to apply for this program.

Student Council   
Student Council consists of four elected officers (pres., vp, sec., treas.) and class representatives.  Student Council sponsors several events throughout the year such as Homecoming and Spirit Week.

Team Managers   
Team managers help coaches and players by keeping statistics, assisting with organization, and doing other odds and ends.  Managers receive sports letters at the end of the season.

Teens Encounter Christ    
This is open to juniors and seniors.  It is a spiritual retreat held in Carey, Ohio, several times a year. There are individual TECs for boys and girls. To find dates and information, or to sign up, see Mrs Krystowski or Mrs. Fitzgerald.

Writing Club
The Writing Club meets during lunch and is open to all high school students.  This group works to improve their own creative writing during lunch meetings and publishes the Writers Unblocked Literary Magazine.  The group also holds readings at Sheri's Coffee House in Norwalk.
