Norwalk Catholic School Elementary Principal
Norwalk Catholic School is currently seeking an elementary principal for the 2017-2018 school year. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and fully committed to living and sharing their Catholic Faith with students and staff. The principal shall serve as the educational and spiritual leader of the school.

 

The Norwalk Catholic Elementary located on the St. Paul Campus (Norwalk, Ohio) focuses on the spiritual, developmental, social and academic needs of children in grades 1 through 6. The focus during these formative years is to give the children a solid educational basis, as well as the critical first steps of their Catholic faith.  It is during these years that they will experience First Holy Communion, First Reconciliation, and begin to develop morals and values that will last a lifetime.

 

Norwalk Catholic School is a member of the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) and is fully accredited by the Ohio Accrediting Association (OSCAA).

 

Qualified candidates will have experience in administration and/or teaching in a Catholic School. Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with familiarity of advanced technology application skills. Additionally, the successful candidate must be willing to work with a team of administrators focusing on the overall success of Norwalk Catholic School.

  4. Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
  5. Minimum of five years experience as successful educator
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  7. Understanding of curriculum especially as it applies to the elementary grades
  8. Commitment to high quality educational programming
  9. Must hold or be qualified to obtain Ohio licensure

Maintenance Technician
Norwalk Catholic School is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician.  The maintenance department is responsible for maintaining all facilities and equipment in proper working order while observing proper safety techniques.  This position will be part of the maintenance team which includes support from numerous volunteers.  A diverse background including electrical and mechanical experience is preferred.  Experience with boiler operations, fork lift activity and CDL certification with School Bus/Passenger endorsement is a plus.

Job specifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must possess and maintain a Valid State Driver’s license
  • Candidate must be able to bend, stretch and stoop, but not limited to these physical activities:
  1. Requires lifting of 40 lbs. or more without aid
  2. Requires normal eye, hand and walking coordination
  3. Must be able to work from ladders as well as a scissors lift
  4. Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather
  5. Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  6. Must be able to work overtime as needed

Substitute Cafeteria Attendants
Norwalk Catholic School is need of substitute cafeteria employees.  Applicant will need schedule flexibility as this is not an everyday position and will be needed to fill in when circumstances arise.  Standard hours when called upon are generally 9:30am-1:30pm.  The position is responsible for assisting with daily tasks as directed by the Cafeteria Manager.  Serv-Safe or Food Safety Fundamental training considered a plus.
